Bald white dude. It’s another Lego thing.

“When the forest burns along the road
like God's eyes in my headlights.
When the dogs are looking for their bones
and it's raining icepicks on your steel shore.”

I woke up this morning with a horrific Audioslave song in my head (aren’t they all?) so, I had to listen to “Badmotorfinger” all day to purge it from my brain. When they were at their best, Soundgarden was a crushing force. Heavy, like a fat man on the surface of Jupiter. I hated “Superunknown” though, it was radio crap.

Enough about that. Let’s talk about how awesome Corrosion of Conformity was this evening. Holy shit. Heaviest band all year. It’s also comforting to be in a band that can’t have practice, because none of the dudes will miss COC. Tonight was a band outing. Good shit.

Last few days have been good. I need a haircut, and new contacts. I need a million more hours of free time a week, and I need Season 2 of “The Shield”. Season one was AMAZING. “Battlestar Galactica” kicks off Friday, the Stay Gold show is Saturday, and tour is a week later. Shit is going a million miles a minute. Crucial hang outs are already in the works for next week. Life is good.

I have run into a number of good folks recently, whom I haven’t seen in forever. I like it.

I am more and more obsessed with the Lego program from an earlier entry. It’s amazing, and I have always been down for the Legos. Jen and I had an exchange about this the other day. They really appeal to the kids who had time to build, because they had no social lives. They were very important to the young me.

“I think legos are one of the last refuges for people for people without friends. Just like you and your brother used to build huge towns with yours, I did similar shit with mine when I was a kid. Books, Star Trek, and Legos, it was a simple life, but awesome.

It's funny though, my dad also did pretty poorly with his social life when we first got to Syracuse, he was a single dude raising three kids alone. We would go to bed, and while we were asleep, he would build shit with our legos. It wasn't uncommon for us to get up to go to school, and find some sort of crazy shit he had put together the night before. Dude had skills.”

Word.

Go see this movie. It’s a good time. Those Brits know their shit.

Goodnight.
